Crossfire Devotii Challenge
De eerste twee Challenges telden een totaal van meer dan 12,000 euro aan prijzengeld, aangeboden door Crossfire en hun partners. Dit derde evenement zal daar nog een behoorlijke som bij op tellen. Deze derde Challenge zal maar liefst 2 toernooien omvatten, dankzij het groot aantal aanmeldingen en groeiende intresse in de Challenge. Het eerste toernooi zal plaatsvinden op 21, 22 en 23 September. Het tweede toernooi vindt plaats op 16, 17 en 18 November. Op het toernooi in september komen de volgende games aan bod: Wolfstein: Enemy Territory 6vs6, Enemy Territory Quakewars, Warsow Qcup 1vs1 en Quake 3 CPM 1vs1. Ook de conlusie van het Fnatic Academy - Call of Duty 2 toernooi zal daar plaatsvinden. WZZRD doet er nog een schepje bovenop door 's avonds een Game Quiz te organiseren waar vétte prijzen te winnen zijn. De toernooien in november zullen puur om de devotii Call of Duty 2 gaan. In samenwerking met Future Gam1ng organiseert WZZRD een FIFA08 Offline Cup. Verzamelen om 12.00. Regels worden bekend gemaakt op de toernooidag, eigen gamepads zijn toegestaan.
De prijzenpot bedraagt ¤250,- waarvan ¤150,- naar de winnaar zal gaan en ¤50,- naar de runner-up.

Zin om Krye is een pak slaag te geven?
Of om Glyx te laten voelen dat hij eigenlijk een noobje is?
Omdat het vorige WZZRD DOA4 toernooi een groot succes was zal er nog één komen. 10 November zal dit plaatstvinden in WZZRD Utrecht. Naast de WCG is dit het enige officiële nederlandse toernooi dus hier moet je bij zijn. Het inleg geld bedraagt 15 euro per persoon. Prijzengeld zal er zijn voor de nummers 1, 2 en 3 (70%, 20%, 10%). Het totale bedrag hangt af van het aantaal deelnemers. Bij 10 deelnemers is de totale pot 100 euro, bij 20 is het 200 etc.
Het toernooi zal beginnen om 11 uur, daarom is het wel handig om er rond half 11 te zijn met je eigen controller of arcade stick. Stuur een mailtje naar utrecht@wzzrd.nl met je naam en gamertag om je in te schrijven!

Competitive Gaming Comes to the Silver Screen

KODE5 Netherlands Regional Qualifier
From October 27th to 28th, the KODE5 Netherlands Qualifier will take place at WZZRD Enschede, located at CineStar Colosseum 60. For two days, the top Counter-Strike 1.6 and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne gamers will clash in a tournament filled with non-stop action and thrills to determine who will earn the right to advance to the KODE5 Global Finals to represent the pride of the Netherlands. Zondag 21 oktober organiseert WZZRD in samenwerking met Logic een Counter-Strike 1.6 2on2 toernooi in Utrecht. Er is ruimte voor 16 teams en iedereen kan meedoen; of je nu met je maatje komt of met een teammate, het belooft een supergezellige dag te worden.
Middels het double elimination systeem spelen de 16 teams op maps Aztec en Nuke voor een prijzenpot van 250 euro gesponsord door WZZRD. Houdt de website van Logic in de gaten voor verdere updates aangaande de prijzenpot en natuurlijk om via in te schrijven!

Crossfire is proud today to confirm the dates and tournaments for the Crossfire Devotii Challenge 4. The fourth installment of the Crossfire Challenge series will be our biggest yet with 4 tournaments and even more gamers! We look forward to build on our success and offer our community the best event yet!
The event will be taking place at the newly refurbished WZZRD Enschede Center in the east of Holland between Friday February 29th and Sunday March 2nd 2008. In attendance once again will be QuadV, providing their trademark entertainment and production. We've some exciting plans in the pipelines for CDC4 however can only reveal the basics to you at this moment, but rest assured we intend to raise the bar once again this time offering 10,000 Euro in prizes
Tournaments - Entry Fee is 40 Euros for all tournaments
- Call of Duty 4 - 20 Teams - 4000 Euro Prizepurse
- Wolfenstein Enemy Teritory - 12 Teams - 3000 Euro Prizepurse
- Enemy Territory Quakewars - 8 Teams - 2000 Euro Prizepurse

These are our initial offerings, should signups exceed expectations we will happily increase tournaments and their prizepurses.
Signups
To signup to any tournament, you must complete your clan roster on Crossfire and mail your application to crossfiresignups at gmail dot com - including a link to your Clan Profile on Crossfire and the primary email and phone number of the clan. Teams will first sign up, and then an undefined amount of teams will be invited to the tournament with some remaining qualifiers. Invites will be based on players reliability at previous Challenge events as well as the rosters potential skill, proven by previous achievements of individual players and the team itself. We will attempt to accommodate players wishing to play in 2 tournaments.
Signups will close on Sunday January 6th, with Invites & Qualifiers the following week. All payments will be due by January 18th. We request clans signup promptly so we can make any tournament expansions.
A final note that the tournament will be starting bright and early on the Friday, so when making travel plans please make yourself available from 9/10 on Friday. The tournament will be finished by 6/7 on Sunday.
